Meet Kasia, Your Memory Bear Maker ♡

I’m a trained seamstress. Although my career took me in other directions and I have not worked professionally in the trade, sewing has always remained an important part of my life. I also enjoy needlework, crochet and tatting, a traditional form of lace-making. Creating things by hand gives me a sense of calm, as do long walks by the sea and time spent exploring the Lake District.

I began making memory bears after my family lost someone dear to us. I transformed their clothing into keepsakes so that each of us could hold on to something familiar and meaningful. Making those first bears showed me how much comfort a carefully made keepsake can bring.
